Panglao Island

The island of Panglao is famous for its fine, white sand beaches. The existence of mangroves in some areas has made Panglao a protected area. The island has two urban counties: Panglao and Dauis,

There are some excursions which we would like to recommend. In Dauis there is to be found a special place. The very large Hinagdanan Cave. It was discovered, by chance, due to construction work that revealed a geological showcase. It is s unique place for bathing.

The animal  farm, which has expanded constantly, is a really great excursion destination. A miniature golf range, amidst the tropical terrain, has been completed. For a small fee, the owners offer a transfer service.

Panglao has an annual festival "Hudyaka", in August, in celebration of our small town’s patron saint, “San Augustin”. The festival is a riot of color with street dancing as well as dance competitions of the individual communities. It is similar in style to the “Sandugo” festival in Tagbilaran City but it is simpler and more provincial.
